Den L. Scheer is a bush artist from the isolated town of Grass Patch, Western Australia. Growing up on a 5000 acre Merino sheep stud, her farm upbringing provoked her sensitivity towards animal forms and the agricultural space. Since then, she and her family has diversified their portfolio with Murray Grey cattle, industrial rotational plastic moulding and tool making as well as aeronautical maintenance.
Den's current art practice focuses on the body of Australian agricultural animals and how environmental pressures influence their physiology. She is current expanding upon her established drawing practice with experiments in sensory installation art and conceptual sculpture using found farm artifacts.
She currently lives near Perth, WA, working as a freelance artist/illustrator/tutor and is available for commissions.
